Since I just came home from a 2 week holiday the giant beauty haul post had to be done! I’m just sharing some pictures and information about the beauty items that I bought in various places across Tokyo! I will try my best to give the name, description and, if I can remember, a store location of where I bought each item! With this haul I just went all out with skin care, body care and hair care! I think I have enough make up as it is so I didn’t buy as much of that as I could have. Anywho, onwards to the products!! I plan to do more in depth reviews for some of the products, such as a Battle of the Cleansing Oils! But if there’s anything you’d especially like to see then feel free to comment a request!
Shu Uemura Skin Purifier in POREFinist (Narita Duty Free): This was a splurge buy since it was 6000 yen (AUD~$60) but for 450mL and its high status I thought it was worth snatching up! I didn’t realise there was a whole set of different ones so I got the pore/oily one which is also pink!
Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Diver City): Another well liked product among reviewers and bloggers. Though I have heard that the formula can break some people out so we shall see.
Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Diver City): I haven’t heard much about this brand or product but I read that this is a number 1 item in Japan so went ahead and chucked it into my basket!
Missha Night Repair New Science Activator Ampoule (Missha store in Harajuku): I’ve read so many great comments about this ampoule and its price online can be high. At the Missha store in Takeshita Street it was 4,300 yen (AUD~$40) which I didn’t think was too bad. I’ve used it for a few days and I like it so far! I think I need to use it longer for effect though.
Hado Labo Super HA Hydrating Foam Wash (Akihabara Don Quixote): Another popular item around reddit and blogs. I found this one hard to find at most stores and ended up seeing it at two stores: Don Quixote in Akiba and a pharmacy across the street from another Donki in Shinjuku! It comes out as foam which is convenient and has a balanced pH level of 5.5!
Cure Natural Aqua Gel (Ikebukuro Tokyu Hands): Another number 1 product! It’s a peeling gel for gentle physical exfoliation. I don’t have any exfoliation in my routine currently so I dropped it into my basket! I tried it last night for a Sunday weekly treatment and my skin looked automatically brighter after I rinsed it off. I’ve been having a had break out due to flying and the redness noticeably faded the next morning. So I’m liking this so far!
Hado Labo Super HA Lotion Light (Shinjuku): Had to get on the lotion train and since my current toner is almost out, why not? I got the Light version as I do like to be more gentle to my face.
Hado Labo Super HA Hydrating Moisturising Milk (Shinjuku): I already use this daily so I bought another bottle. Yes, I know you can buy refills but didn’t want explosion in my squished bag lol. Anyway, love this stuff! In Australia, I just don’t find a need for heavy creams so this perfect for my moisturiser.
Just a pile of fun sheet masks! The Hello Kitty ones were for novelty. They are apparently sold out online but I bought them at a Sanrio store in Diver City. The lip masks were also sort of novelty but I’ve had some badly dry lips since returning home and putting one on for 30 minutes did wonders! I bought them and the Pure Smile masks at the Akiba Don Quixote. The Etude House ones were from a EH store. I use the Tea Tree ones all the time but I’ve heard good things about Green Tea so I got a couple.
I realise that I didn’t get many sunscreens. I’ve already tried Anessa and Perfect Milk so got a couple more to try out. There’s a store in my city where I can buy these all so it wasn’t imperative to stock up. These were all bought at pharmacies.
Venus Spa Premium Body Mists in Lady Freesia and Floral Drop (Harajuku): Gotta love smelling pretty! I’ve been a bit obsessed lately with wanting to smell girly all over. The scents from Venus Spa are the perfect girl scents, very flowery!
Venus Spa Premium Body Milk in Nudi Rose (Shibuya 109): I picked this one up before the body mists. Not sure how much use I have for tonnes of body milks but it smells nice and the bottle is very lovely.
Moist Diane Body Milk in Citrus Bouquet (Harajuku): This is possibly a gift. But I didn’t realise the name of the brand until now… LOL! Oh well! It’s got a pretty bottle!
Kose Rose of Heaven Hand Cream in White Rose (Harajuku): More gift items… these smell like the potpourri and soaps my mum would keep in her drawers to keep her clothes smelling nice. It’s very nostalgic so I do like them!
Blencrème Epicerie Fine Cosmetique Gommage Corps Fraise Body Scrub in Strawberry and Soufflé Body Cream in Strawberry Pomegranate (Shibuya 109): I picked these up as possible gifts. Who doesn’t love scrubs and creams in jam jars? I didn’t realise these were actually French until I googled them just now haha. They smell divine! I think I may keep a pair for myself since I bought 4 altogether.
Etude House Oh Happy Day Hand Creams (La Foret Etude House, Harajuku): So most of the body care I bought are possible gifts for people haha. I just have plenty of hand creams at home already. I have yet to smell these since they have a foil cap inside and I want to give them to friends.
Shiseido Tsubaki Shining Shampoo and Conditioner (Shinjuku): I hear lots of great things about this range so I picked up a pack of shampoo and conditioner. I tried it the other night and it did make my hair more shiny and bouncy! I thought the shampoo smelt nicer than the conditioner though.
CeleJois Treatment for Hair Damage Non-Silicon (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Shibuya): This one got thrown in my basket randomly. I saw non-silicon and thought it could be good for my partner’s curly hair. It’s apparently white rose aroma. Can’t wait to try this one out! It has the most random leave in time though: 49 minutes.
Kao Liese Soft Volumising Airy Hair Styling Spray (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Diver City): I have a few other products from this range and I wanted them all basically lol. This one is a volumising spray.
Kao Liese Iron Make Hair Styling Mist Spray (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Diver City): This spray is for styling both straight and curled hair with heated tools. It locks in the style and gives shine, as well as protecting from heat damage. You can get ones for just straightening or just curling but I like to do both so why not?
Kao Liese Updo Arrange Foam (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Diver City): As you can tell by the label this one is new, thus it was hard to find the proper English name for it in Google lol. It’s a foam that gives texture to hair so you can do updos more easily, such as ponytails, buns and braids! My hair is very slippery so it should hopefully do its job!
Shiseido Ma Cherie Perfect Shower Hair Pre-Styling Lotion (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Harajuku): I suffer from bed hair, weird bits go wavy and others stick out. Anyway, this Perfect Shower is supposed to be used in the morning to “reset” your hair as well as give it shine. You can use other styling products after it as well.
Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Brown and Black (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Diver City & Harajuku).
K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Eyeliner in Black (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Harajuku).
Daiso Eyelashes (Daiso Harajuku).
Etude House Single Eyeshadow (La Foret Etude House, Harajuku).
Etude House Play 101 Pencil #45 (La Foret Etude House, Harajuku).
Missha Signature Glam Art Rouge Lipstick (Missha store in Harajuku).
Canmake Glow Fleur Cheeks Blush (Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Diver City).
The Love Live! nail stickers were from Animate in Akiba. The JJBA and Sailor Moon nail stickers were found in Don Quixote in Akiba but I also saw the Sailor Moon ones at Kiddyland in Harajuku. Pa and Dolly Anna Sui polishes from Plaza in Shibuya 109. Etude House Play polish from La Foret Etude House. Frozen nailpolishes from a pop-up Xmas gift shop in Lumine 2. Disney Nail Seals from Loft in Ikebukuro. So far I’ve only used the Frozen ones and they’re nice and sparkly with a good ratio of glitter!
Most of the samples were from my Missha purchase of the ampoule and the lipstick. Etude House gave me the Moistfull sample. The Lactacyd feminine wash was given out at Plaza in Shibuya 109 but I’m not for washes down there (water is all you need, thank you!) so I’ve thrown it out since.
This is probably my biggest haul ever! It had to squish it in across my bag and my partner’s lol! But we don’t take very big bags when travelling… Anyway. I’m excited to start trying out some of these products and if you want to have a more detailed review of any of them just leave a comment! Oh yeah, I should say that Diver City is a shopping mall in Odaiba. ;)
