I was after a new toner that wasmore astringent and targeted towards pore care than my last one and just happened upon this Innisfree Green Persimmon Pore Toner which is AUS$23 on their global website.
The Green Persimmon Toner comes in a sturdy medium sized plastic bottle. The opening has a plastic stopper so only a little bit can come out. It is easy to shake the bottle a little to have the right amount come out. The design is bright, smooth and clean! It contains Jeju green persimmon extract as well as clove flower and willow bark extracts to moisturise the skin, control sebum and clean away dead skin cells.
The ingredient list:
Water, Butylene Glycol, Persimmon Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Althaea Officinalis Root Extract, Camellia Leaf Extract, Orchid Extract, Prickly Pear Extract, Tangerine Peel Extract, The green Tea Extract, Polysorbate 20, Propanediol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Triisostearate, Fragrance
Just look at the huge section of lovely natural extracts right in the middle there! Innisfree is 6-free system without parabens, synthetic colourants, mineral oil, animal-originated ingredients, artificial fragrances and imidazolidinyl urea.
The toner itself is just like water and I tried with and without a cotton pad, but found using the product with cotton was better to really sweep across and clean my face. It smells super citrus, like grapefruit or even candy lime, but no alcohol at all. I really enjoy the scent! I did find after a couple of uses that my pores were staying cleaner for longer and appeared smaller. There does seem to be a tightening effect on the skin. At least my face seemed a lot cleaner and brighter.
Overall I think it is a nice toner with visible pore cleaning effects. It doesn’t dry out or strip my skin, has a very nice scent and makes my skin look and feel firmer. As an all-rounder, if you have pore issues, I would say this is a good purchase. I do wonder what the whole range together would be like. Perhaps I will try out the rest one day!
