Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Candy

Everyone is in love with liquid lipsticks right now though I have a photo of me wearing one I really loved back in 2009 though I don’t remember what brand it was. It was bright pink. I’m such a trendsetter. :P Anyway, I was looking through Mecca to see what small item I could add to my order of the Chocolate Bar palette and thought I’ve give one of these Too Faced Melted Lipsticks a shot. After looking at swatches and youtube videos I decided on Candy. Something less ordinary and more bright but still suitable for everyday wear.

The tube is just a bit longer than a normal lipstick and maybe a little thinner. I think it looks really pretty and the fact that it is the same shade as the inside would make it so much easier to find what you want if you bought a whole lot of them or just trying to choose what to wear that day out of your collection. The gold cap screws on and off and so it’d be safe to throw in your purse for later applications.

The end is like a big doe foot applicator but still fairly small in size. It fits to the size of my lips well. You squeeze the tub to get some product out and then start swiping away.

The product is super creamy and easy to apply in thin layers using the applicator. It turns out fairly opaque though some freckles still show through a little. It’s super duper bright and blue based pink. I needed a little concealer around some of the edges to make it a little crisper but I don’t mind the softer look. It lasts quite a long time and does leave a stain when removed. It doesn’t taste weird when I lick it on my lips, almost like nothing in fact.  Overall, I really love it! I can’t wait to buy more Melted Lipsticks!
