Our new house has a bath and I have been having a weekly bath using Lush bath bombs. It is seriously the best ever. Next to the bathroom we have our future library nook (it needs bookcases first lol) and it is where we keep our vinyl record player so we like to run a bath and listen to a record. It’s great just to lay in the water, switch my brain off and listen to some music. The pictured one is Dragon’s Egg and it makes a gold shimmery bath that smells divine with a fruity scent!
Speaking of our new house. We’ve been here for weeks now and I only just got my wardrobe unpacked and put away. It’s a small walk-in and I put the Ikea dresser inside for drawers since it doesn’t fit in our tiny bedroom. That’s okay though because it’s pretty useful having it all away in there and the bedroom is really just for sleep.
Beauty items I’ve loved this month are: Essence The Gel Nail Polish in 20 Beautiful Lies. Despite being a really cheap polish it has a great colour and goes on opaque and glossy in 2 coats. I thought it looked super cute! Rimmel Match Perfection in 010 Light Porcelain. I’ve been wearing this all month and think it applies best with a damp beauty blender. It covers any red and evens out skin tone really well! It’s not so heavy to cover my freckles which I like. It lasts well and looks good so I am happy with it! Redken Wax Blast 10. I got this some time ago from my hairdresser and they have since changed the packaging but it still works for me. I recently fished it out of a bag during moving house and thought I’d try it out again. It’s a finishing spray that adds body and a satin-matte finish on the hair. I think it looks great with straightened hair when you want it to look a bit more textured and full! Finally, the Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara in Extreme Black that was included in this month’s Marie Claire magazine for free! It’s not so great at volume really but it’s natural and subtle looking. So it’s perfect for every day wear and well, it was free, so I’m not complaining!
Radox Coconut Rush: We fell in love with this stuff in England last year (in a black bottle) and for awhile couldn’t find it here in Australia but they finally came out with a coconut wash and we had to snap it up because COCONUUUTT! Of course, coconut is now everywhere, I mean that’s great but thanks for not bothering when we really wanted it haha. Smells amazing, moisturises well and the smell lasts on your skin all day. Definitely liked this!
Sunsilk Co-creations Longer and Stronger: I bought this originally but my partner ended up using it all. He has long curly hair and he’s trying to go it longer and it needed more strength… sooo why not? lol! It makes his hair very glossy and it seriously perfumes your hair for so long. He would smell great all day after showering early in the morning. I don’t think he’s a fan of that aspect though lol. Needless to say, he used it all up and repurchased so I guess it’s good!
Primark Skinny Jeans: The curse of the fat thighs hits again! I know this isn’t technically an empties but it is the end of these jeans! Most jeans wearing girls, especially those of use who are plus size, would have experienced this and it’s always a sad event. These were comfortable jeans though I did need a belt to wear them without falling off my butt. Goodnight, sweet prince!
